3Shape Dental System to Atlantis: DS Core Integration Guide
Introduction
Since the release of 3Shape Dental System 24.1.2, customers can perform direct submission of Atlantis customized abutment cases for production. This integration establishes a secure, cloud-based connection between 3Shape Dental System and Atlantis milling services, significantly reducing manual steps and improving overall workflow efficiency.
This article provides an overview of this functionality and explains how the integration works. It also guides you through the required steps to correctly set up the integration on the 3Shape Dental System side, ensuring a smooth and reliable order submission process.
Technical and Account Requirements
To successfully enable the integration between 3Shape Dental System and Dentsply Sirona DS Core, all of the requirements listed below must be met. These prerequisites ensure proper system functionality and allow secure order submission to Atlantis milling services.
- The integration is supported starting with 3Shape Dental System version 24.1.2 or newer;
- It is mandatory to have/create accounts on both platforms: DS Core (http://www.r2.dscore.com/) & 3Shape Communicate (https://portal.3shapecommunicate.com/login)
- In addition, Atlantis Abutment Milling Library .dme file must be imported into the Dental System: open Dental System Control Panel > Tools > Import/Export > Import materials;
- Once the materials are imported, the DS Core plugin becomes available in Dental Manager.
How to enable DS Core integration:
- Login to 3Shape Communicate and navigate to Integrations.
2. Enable integration for DS Core (Dentsply Sirona) by pressing the specific button, then press "Proceed" and you will be automatically redirected to the DS Core login page.
3. Log in to your existing DS Core account.
4. Once logged in, you will be redirected back to 3Shape Communicate and the integration will be successfully enabled.
How to setup connection with DS Core:
Once the integration is successfully enabled, it is required to setup connection with DS Core on 3Shape Communicate platform. Please follow the steps below:
- Navigate to Connections and click Add Connection.
2. Enter the following email address in the search tube: [email protected]
NOTE: You can also find this link in 3shape Communicate when search for “DS Core”.
3. The connection will be automatically approved and visible under Active connections.
How to submit the case from Dental System
Once all setup steps described above are complete and Atlantis milling materials are imported, a DS Core button becomes available in Dental Manager. This button is used to submit Atlantis abutment cases directly to DS Core.
Select previously designed case and press DS Core button from the workflow bar.
Interface window will occur, click on Send.
After submission, orders are synchronized with 3Shape Communicate and DS Core and then forwarded to Atlantis milling for production.
